  1. My favourite Rollins Impulse. My copy has rather noisy surfaces. Strange, mine is perfect. Usually my original Impulse! are good as BN. Maybe a mispressed copy.
  2. I think I am far beyond. I sold my cds when I found the vinyl. I kept only the cd with some worthing bonus tracks.
  3. John Mayall - USA UNION - Polydor
  4. Sonny Rollins - ALFIE (soundtracks) - Impulse! stereo. A great score with a great band!
  5. Rolling Stones - LET IT BLEED - Decca, mono.
  6. Sonny Rollins - EAST BROADWAY RUNDOWN - Impulse! mono.
  7. Dogs, and cats, are great whatever breeds they are. I growned up in a country house packed of dogs and cats, and I still remember the name and the personality of everyone, and we are talkin about dozens of them. Never had a beagle, but I had a mastiff, (the first one, and most beloved by the family, his name was Sam), neapolitan dogs, dobermanns, danes, belgian sheeperd dogs, a pinscher, and a very loooong list of mongrels. I'll post some photos as soon I'll convince my sister to scanner them if you'd like. this is one of the fews I have: a very young Porcy with Sam:
  8. Jackie McLean - NEW SOIL - BN, NY mono.
  9. Nice. I am fine, thanks!
  10. Lots of great lines, in the Sergio Leone's style. Sometimes too self indulgent. Mine is: 'I'm Winston Wolfe. I solve problems.' The biggest problem with him is that I haven't got his number, and God knows how much I'd need a guy like him in my life.
  11. Jackie McLean - A FICKLE SONANCE - BN, NY mono.
  12. The Grateful Dead - IN EUROPE (72) - WB green label.
  13. PM to our moderator MG, he's very fond of african history. The best source over here, and beyond.
  14. Spirit - Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus - Epic
  15. Cannonball Adderley - C.A. Quintet in Chicago - Mercury (Speaker Corner reissue).
  16. Meredith Monk - Book of Days - ECM
  17. Thelonious Monk - BRILLIANT CORNER - Analogue reissue
  18. Franz Schubert - Symphonie Nr. 9 (7) D.759 - Boehm, Berliner Philarmoniker, DG
  19. It ended at $1,585. It's a Classic Records re-issue, with the faux deep-groove and addresses. Except, of course the obvious 'Classic Records under licence etc.' line at the bottom of the back cover. http://cgi.ebay.com/VG-RARE-Lee-Morgan-Ind...1QQcmdZViewItem i don't know ... while looking at the pictures i've noticed that both the cover and the record look absolutely brand new, without any signs of use or aging ... no spindle marks, no fingerprints, no yellowing, nothing ... but yet the grading is only vg+++, not mint or near mint. and you guys are complaining all the time about overgrading by ebay sellers ... I have some vg+++ copies of rare BN, including a vg++++++++ True Blue, if you're interested, just PM. Cash only.
  20. A Bluto's style mistake? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2YWHBFx3Zg
  21. BTW I presume you read the Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy.
  22. I can't, really I can't, since Spock is gone, I lost my interest in Star Trek, but you may obviously go on with the thread. Just an AllenLowe's style post. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=39321 I beg your pardon.
  23. A serious and hard working actor rathen then a 'common' star. R.I.P Roy
  24. I have to confess that it takes some times for me to dig into Ornette's music. I wasn't there when he bursted out, actually I wasn't at all, even as forecast. When I discovered New Thing I preferred Coltrane, Dolphy, Shepp or Ayler, then a friend gave me a cassette of Free Jazz, I passed one week switching between left and right channel, at first I had to do my own mental mix to understand his music...afterwards everything changed.
