  1. My vinyl and I haven't reached that stage yet... Faithfull? Yeah, maybe I typed the wrong tense, I should have typed 'That's is being...'
  2. My vinyl and I haven't reached that stage yet... Well, you should have also some feticists inclinations. I would suggest you a carefully listenig of 'The Velvet Underground and Nico'...
  3. Davy Graham is brilliant - those are some of the most crucial guitar ragas outside of Sandy Bull. And I like Renbourn and Jansch duets too.Their 'Goodbye Porky Pie'Hat' is great. Those were times, musicians play MUSIC without caring wich should be the scaffold where the shop have to file their records.
  4. Davy Graham MIDNIGHT MAN , unboxed Decca, mono His 'Watermelon man' Wow! You should give it a spin, or buy the cd. Gorgeous!
  5. Hey Porcy, can I use this great word? It's kinda like "laughtears." I should ask to my lawyears, you know, all that issue about US and EU different copyrieghts...
  6. Does a German first press Columbia EMI 'stereo playable mono' of 'Piper' count? Are you kidding me? I don't want see any EMI on the label
  7. A NM mono first pressing of Pink Floyd's first album. At human price
  8. One could say the same about BN: 'RVG sound', Wolff's art cover, ecc. And what the fact of those countless sessions of hard bop, does music history really need 50 sessions of Art Blakey or 50 sessions of Lee Morgan or 50 sessions of Mobley? CLEM's musical opinions and taste are unquestionable for his asserteveness, so I don't even try to do it. About his question on black dudes, my answear is: Look at world's map. It's really bizarre that young european white players recorded for a young european producer in a european studio back in seventies. Their most obvious choice would have been to give a call to Chuck and ask for the money for a ticket to US.
  9. I just bought a bottle of this Well not exactly this, my bottle comes from Caol Ila distillery and it's a 1995. That will be my faithfull partner for my next vinyl intercourses.
  10. You have to admit that for your cholesterol ECM is a huge improvement. That would be perfect. Don't forget to advise Porthos, Aramis and Athos. Because the pretentious Cardinal Manfred Eichler de Richelieu will bring all his guards with him (and all these boring musicians Like Jarrett, Garbarek Holland and Wheeler). The coward! See you there at six o'clock in the morning. Your faithfull friend d'Artagnan
  11. My thought. And their covers are surely better then most of todays new jazz realases, speaking about aesthetic meaning. But from Chewy's tone I understand that it's some sort of personal issue between him and Manfred Eichler. The best thing for all the members here would be assisting at the duel that will be held somewhere between Northern North America and Munich. I think that Manfred has the right to chose the weapons. About Brownie I am sure that he could find a nice place around Paris, close to some convents, like in the old times of Alexandre Dumas.
  12. My suggestion, since Linn has dropped the production of his entry level cd player.
  13. Funny, in Italy we call it Vin brulè.
  14. Maybe they should start a research about the Most Horrible Human Voice in the World. When I am watching TV I sense sometimes howful feeling listen to some particular person.
  15. It helped to stop my compulsory habit of shopping or bidding online in the middle of the night after too many single malt's glasses. Now i know who actually are those 1 k and more bidders. Anonymous alcoholics. Not me. Since I discovered e-snipe I bacame one of these bastards, and I decide my max bid totally sober.
  16. It was the same. I did't want to hassle those guys at NSA.
  17. China and India has the fastest growing economies and among the largest, today. In the best neighbourogh of Shanghai and Bombay, prices sky rocketed in the last two or three years. If you consider that China is at the moment the second largest market for Ferrari.
  18. Do you think that there is any difference with the real estate in Bombay, Shanghai, Hong Kong or Tokyo?
  19. How do you think I got a record collection?
  20. Ron and Jeff are nice persons, surely the best I found in my history of jazz record's collector. Online shop is a good idea, tough I wasn't particularly dissatisfied with the good old private auctions on paper. It helped to stop my compulsory habit of shopping or bidding online in the middle of the night after too many single malt's glasses.
  21. Good ! A friendly relationship and set sale (even if prices are high) that's what we expect from a site. If you know some, would you share them with us ? Ron Rambach and Jeff Barr are working on it. I'll let you know as soon as they are on-line. We may be waiting a long time! Ron does SO well on the high-end stuff on ebay I really think he'd be taking a step backwards profit-wise by selling direct. He hasn't had a "list" in over a year, so maybe he's going to make the next one an on-line only list? Haven't heard about Jeff's website in a while. Is he really working on a "shopping cart" type site? I've no details about it, only the news you got already.
  22. Good ! A friendly relationship and set sale (even if prices are high) that's what we expect from a site. If you know some, would you share them with us ? HERE is the latest one I received . . . Nice records, but he has to improve his website, I think. The best user's friendly option I found on record's dealers website is downloadable lists as Excel or Word file, I prefer Excel.
