  1. They are good for sure but I can’t dupe a record when I could buy another one.
  2. Over here a tone poets is around 45 € in the shop. Not a bargain. Anyway I think I have less then 10 BN’s In my wishlist and none of them are in the new reissues. On the other I have dozens of verve, prestige, riverside ecc in the wishlist plus few mosaics so I keep myself busy Records are a tough addiction.
  3. Definitely. Bought few of new issues I looked for a long time and I couldn’t find as Kings at decent price
  4. Fiat Seicento multipla
  5. Years ago I tried to buy a huge collection of an Italian jazz scholar, I had the dangerous project to keep the records I liked and sell the rest on eBay. Fortunately for my financial safety I was outbid by a great store.
  6. In Italy in the early sixties we would have called a bus not a car. Italian car at times were built for trios not sextet
  7. Nowadays I go for used Japanese pressings, up to the early eighties. Never upgraded a BN record even the LT series that sometimes aren’t the last word in sound. As the new pressings only the very very very RARE titles are of interest or new discovered sessions.
  8. Mono Got it, spin it later
  9. Thanks. I always forget there is a spaceship called jazzdisco.org flying in the outer space .
  10. As title says, I couldn't find the Tal Farlow disocgraphy of the Mosaic set, any help? Thanks
  11. Since "I am just a guy who spin records" cit. and not a musicians, a record that doesn't affect me emotionally is useless for me.
  12. I got it, never spin since long time.
  13. Agreed, the old vinyls box sets were smaller and with nice booklet with good essays. I understand that the very cheap price of today’s sets are tempting and sometimes in the sets there are rare recordings but overall I agree with your points.
  14. Not the typical BW photo of ECM: colors and human beings. Eichler was particularly happy the day he approved the cover.😁
  15. I apply plenty of deminaralized water during the process and gently rub with my finger, rinse again at the end. I let it dry before use, it works for me.
  16. Rubbing and rinse with demineralized water. I use a latex glove to avoid skins debris on the onzow, but only the days I am particularly anally retentive, usually I only wash my hand before. Anyway I change them after some years of service because the material is getting less effective in capturing the dirt of stylus.
  17. Yep, and when you own a huge catalogue lasting sixty years of recordings.
  18. Over here, Italy, only the most radical left wing musicians were welcomed then. I mean I remember a "proletarian trial" that a left wing audience settled up against an italian forlk singer in a concert. Guess it was one of the reasons I still have some problems listening to some of the avant-garde european artists, their dogmatic attitude.
  19. My biggest set is the Ellington Centennial, jazz. My complete Bach edition surpasses it by a wide margin.
