  1. I want to shop at your local stores. We've got nothing like that in Kansas City. Yes, I would too.
  2. I love this Man, I'll spin it later.
  3. jobster, basically the link is a brief story of Aldo Sinesio and the Horo label. I freely translate a comment of Gianni Morelenbaum Gualberto, Sinesio's assistant at Horo: Sinesio still has the copyrights and the tapes (plus some unissued sessions like a duo Dave Burrell/Sam Woodyard) but he left 'disgusted' the music business. At the moment he doesn't plan any reissue, though Sinesio and Gualberto often talk about it. Let's see.
  4. If Rai owns Horo's copyrights and has the tapes, forgetaboutit, they are in some places like the last shot of 'The Raiders of The Lost Ark': If you want them look for used vinyl.
  5. On as side note, why do they delete these title? No selling? I guess we'll see it in some vinyl (audiophile or not) form in the future. Am I too malicious?
  6. Carl Orff - CARMINA BURANA - DG, Jochum, stereo.
  7. Transcriptor: http://www.transcriptors.net/history.htm BTW As nice as mediocre sounding and a nightmare for setting up, according to my Hi-Fi dealear who still has one as ornament in the shop.
  8. John Renbourn Group - A MAID IN BEDLAM - Transatlantic.
  9. Indeed, and the 'funky' sound should delight MG, IMO.
  10. Deep Purple - MADE IN JAPAN - DCC reissue. I still prefer my original 'Purple' pressing.
  11. Buy it!
  12. John Renbourn - ANOTHER MONDAY - Transatlantic, UK stereo.
  13. Joni Mitchell - MINGUS - Asylum, italian pressing.
  14. John Martin - LONDON CONVERSATION - Island, italian pressing.
  15. Gioacchino Rossini - IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA - DECCA, stereo.
  16. Malicorne - 'COLIN' - Hexagone.
  17. I wish I had more 'ondulé' then 'voilé' experiences in my collector career.
  18. I am not a musician nor a musical critic, imho both HAVE TO know and discover what's going on, so I admit I am not really into new stuff. I accumulated so much music in 30 years. It's all on the shelves and I know only a part of it, a small part, I mean you don't really 'know' a record after a couple of spins, don't you? So I don't buy/listen new stuff, I just dig into my collection. For instance I listened to Mozart's Don Giovanni, my dad's heritage, from side one to side six for the first time in my life, and it takes a whole afternoon for that, and I just scratched the surface of it. I don't 'know' Mozart's Don Giovanni, I just listened to it. I listened to my african music collection lately, looking for the soudtrack of a documentary I edited, well, there were cds I completely forgot I own. The last new record I bought is 'Groovadelphia', and it's the only one issued in 2008.
  19. Actually those Sun Ra are really tasting
  20. My Stereo Katana is back, down in Okinawa Hattori Hanzo San did a great, and... expensive, job as usual. Basically he rebuild the cartdrige.
  21. Jethro Tull - ACQUALUNG - Chrysalis, italian pressing, in gorgeous STEREO.
  22. Donovan - COLOURS - Hallmark, rechanneld for a gorgeous STEREO SOUND!
  23. Ludwig Van - Symphony 1/2 - Karajan/Berlin Phil. DG mono.
