I wonder if there is a video of the Randy Weston concert.

Saturday, I saw Russell Malone and his band at the Vanguard. He mentioned the Count Basie Recording, "Back with Basie." The track "The Elder", is the only recording with Freddie Green soloing. I don't have this recording, if someone does, is this true? I will have to track down a copy of this record then to here Freddie Green solo.

I once started a thread many years ago on Freddie Green, but I can't located it. I would have added this to that thread. Back then I asked if there were any recordings with him soloing. Omar Sharif, the dashing, Egyptian-born actor who was one of the biggest movie stars in the world in the 1960s, with memorable roles in Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia and Funny Girl, has died. I agree, if not a new Road Shows, how about a new studio album. I know Sonny is basically retired, but one last swan song from one of the greatest tenor players in history would be a treat. But a new Road Show may have to do. I have accumulated nearly 475 private recording by Rollins, and there is a ton of material, for many Road shows.
