  1. Richie died at a too young age .... Yes, very young.
  2. Would Richie Powell be an overlooked pianist? His brother most differently overshadows him.
  3. I don't remember where this building is in Manhattan. The Woolworth's building. I felt a black and white photo looked better.
  4. Central Park on a clear and perfect Saturday. The well known Flat Iron Building. The expression/phrase "23 Ski-doo" originated due to this build. Does anyone know the story of "23 Ski-doo"?
  5. RIP, Harold.
  6. I don't think caralogs are sent anymore. I haven't recieved one in a few years.
  7. Yeah, but can it hit the high C on the trumpet?
  8. That's because the Blue Note is not a real jazz venue in NYC. They have other styles of music as well. In fact, it is the worst club in the entire New York City area, and this not just my subjective opinion. One time in November 2010, they advertised that James Moody and his Quintet was playing the following week. Moody was very ill with his cancer. I thought if he is there I have to go. I called and asked if James Moody really is playing and I was told yes, so I made reservations. That night he wasn't there. It was a tribute to him. So many in the club were angry. The poster in the window of the club even said James Moody Quintet. Lies. Eric Alexander took the place of Moody. Eric Alexander is real fine so I didn't mind.
  9. Hank who? Maybe that's why it hasn't sold out yet. It is a must have. Hank is so great.
  10. The show was a bore.
