  1. I do recall once having an LP of solo Art Tatum that was very good. I do not recall the title or what happened to the album.
  2. Here are some great jazz solo albums (unaccompanied albums). Any others that come to mine? Yes, despite what many people think, this is a good album. Joe Pass always was great playing with himself.
  3. I caught the band Generations on Friday at the Jazz Standard. Although Frank is moving kind of slow, he can still blow the tenor real well. It's great to see him still able to give the audience some great music. Did anyone else catch this band?

  12. SEOUL (Reuters) - Cyber attacks slowing U.S. and South Korean websites could enter a new phase on Friday by attacking personal computers and wiping out hard disks, a South Korean government agency and web security firm said. North Korea was originally a prime suspect for launching the cyber attacks, but the isolated state was not named on a list of websites from five countries where the attacks may have originated, the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) said. The attacks targeting dozens of government and business sites in South Korea and the United States did not cause major damage or security breaches, experts said, but the KCC warned a new phase at 1500 GMT on Friday could cause severe damage to PCs. Leading South Korean web security firm Ahnlab, which has closely examined the attacks, said the new phase would target data on tens of thousands of infected personal computers. Full story
  13. Both are worth having. If I had to pick one over the other it would the the Randy Weston. When they go OOP, you may still find them at retailers for a while. I know both sets are at J&R Music World in NYC.

Capuchino gored Jimeno to death on Friday morning as he took part in the traditional Running of the Bulls fiesta in the Spanish city of Pamplona, regional government authorities said. 15. I saw Lee at the Village Vanguard recently and he seemed to be just fine and full of spunk. Hopefully it is nothing serious.
  16. With Lance only a second out of first, it just a matter of time before he takes over the lead.
  17. Have a great day.
  18. A great body of work. Sad to hear of his passing.
  19. Jamal Crawford Joan Crawford Faye Dunaway
  20. I had these in lefthanded models Gibson Charlie Christian model (mine was sunburst) Guild X-500 Guild Artist Award (the best sounding guitar I ever played.
  21. They are both made by Heritage guitars. Being lefthanded most guitar makers have a very limited selection of lefthanded guitars if any at all. Heritage makes just about any model for lefties too. Having sold my 3 arch tops years ago, if I decide to get back into playing I would go the route of Heritage.
