I once worked at a university. One instructor's name was Cockshott, another Hyman. Eternally immature, those of us in the office would state, "Cockshott the Hyman. The Hyman lost."

Unfortunately my FYE store was all out. They didn't have any flyers advertising the price either. If anyone has a copy of the flyer and can scan it and post it here that would be highly appreciated. Don't know if Best Buy would take a printout of the flyer but it is worth a try...... Have you tried calling other FYE's as well?(If you don't have any, if you buy all 3 you save what, $75?) I have been to a few in the past couple of days, and both of them had a fair number.....Also, I saw at the second FYE flyers talking about rebates on MANY sets, $15 to $20 off of Alias, Family Guy, Futurama, the Box set of Scarface (With the Paul Muni version) and many more! I don't think I saw a date for those, so don't know if the 19th is it for them....some stores are better run than others of course... I am going to head to at least one more FYE today before work who said they had some. Thanks all for your help.

Thats okay. Saves my wallet a bit anyway. Hmmm, maybe since I was going to spend $45 on Simpsons discs I have an excuse to buy $45 in music instead.

I agree. I like them both but it does seem like a lame idea. It is something I will likely get when I see it used and have $6 or $7 in my pocket but I won't go searching for it.

Timing is everthing. I bought the Blakey set on ebay last year for around $220. Yeah, timing is definitely everything. I recently got this set on eBay for, I think, $179 and I was the only bidder. After an ending price like that ($500+) you may want to keep watch for others to sell their Blakey Mosaics expecting a price like that. The "market" may saturate and you could get it for a cheap price.

I initially started listening to him because I was trying to get recordings with Tony Oxley. My first purchases were Bossanova and Matka Joanna. I was hooked right away. Yet to have a chance to see him live though.

I have always thought that Kronos was good at what they do, but they should probably leave jazz alone. Their other jazz cover was Music of Bill Evans, which I haven't heard in years and only heard once (didn't like it, but it was too long ago to remember why).

Kronos Quartet - Monk Suite Has anyone heard this? It also has a few Ellington tracks. I haven't heard it but was wondering what others thought.

When I was going to college I graded papers for one of my instructors. The writing was horrible. Now I am a third grade teacher. Honestly, the writing from my third graders is not much worse than many of the papers I graded at the university. It is unfortunate.
