  1. My feelings about resigning C.C. - After four mediocre to poor seasons and leaving the team on the verge of the 2015 postseason to enter drunk rehab, he had a comeback in the last year of his contract (surprise, surprise). After making almost $100 million for those four lousy seasons, he should pitch for no money next year - though he won't. Let him go, and if another team is sucker enough to sign him, good luck to them.

  3. Sentimental and a set up plot, but I watched it for Terrence Stamp's and Vanessa Redgrave's performances.

  7. Sad, horrific article, but worth taking the time to read: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/10/28/world/europe/tuam-ireland-babies-children.html Various authorities and citizens pushed this aside until one woman made it her business to seek out the truth from her childhood.

  18. I know that there were those who were disappointed with this set - perhaps for what wasn't included. I took it for what it was and enjoyed it.
  19. The bottom line is that you should treat others the way you want to be treated. No excuse for what he did.

  21. "Of course, one could ask if Guriel looked at the current tenor of general discourse in America today and didn't think it would be that big a deal...." If he were intelligent enough to think that way, he'd think about what the current tenor of general discourse in America today might have to say about him and what his background is. An a-hole is an a-hole. No excuses.
