In an article on Aretha Franklin in the current New Yorker - http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/04/04/aretha-franklins-american-soul - the author, David Remnick, writes: "Franklin ... is generally acknowledged to be the greatest singer in the history of popular postwar music."
Mr. Remnick obviously has the right to his opinion, but I don't buy into it for even a second. Any discussion here?
