  1. Hope it's not long before you're back here regularly, Mike.
  2. There are a number of fine recordings by Boulou and Elios Ferre from the 80's and 90's. Paul Bley's and Chet Baker's Diane is one worth hearing.
  3. Annette Peacock Gary Peacock Paul Bley
  4. I believe that Julius Hemphill and Ursula Oppens were a couple.
  5. Professor Longhair Cleanhead Vinson Deborah Harry
  6. :tup Thanks!

  8. Warren Oates Monte Hellman Dennis Wilson
  9. Lily Pons Jimmy Ponder Daniel Ponce
  10. Miles Chet Ella
  11. I'll just add one personal favorite: Jimmy Knepper in L.A. (Disco Mate) - For me, this captures the beauty of Jimmy Knepper's sound better than any other recording I've heard.
  12. Carroll Hardy (Buffalo, NY jazz dj) Carroll Hardy (NFL receiver, major league outfielder) Ted Williams
  13. Probably the usual reason - $
  14. Jimmy Forrest Anne Marie Moss Charles Greenlee
  15. Bobby Rydell Bobby Vee Bobby Fuller
  16. Wish I could be there. Best I'll be able to do is listen to your CD.
  17. Thanks for that one, Greg!
  18. I have the Pres and the Bix. There's other Diz that I'd go for (and have gone for) before the Mosaic. You should go for what you feel you want to hear. You know your tastes better than we could ever know them.
  19. Stuff Smith Grant Green Cal Collins
  20. Charlie Teagarden Bob Crosby Herb Hall
  21. Beautiful day - 80, low humidity, nice breeze, and sunny.
  22. One that I can think of is Herb Abrahamson, who ended up pretty much down and out after being bought out/forced out of Atlantic Records. I believe that Jerry Wexler took his place at Atlantic.
  23. Celeste Holm Sherlock Holmes Nigel Bruce
  24. I'm a sports fan - tho to a much lesser degree than in the past - but I can't imagine a bigger waste of my time than to listen to fools calling a radio station with their "enlightened views", and two bigger fools responding to the calls. Caught these two for thirty seconds or so several times, and that was much too long.
