I have Audio Engine 5's, which I am happy with. They are better than the nEar 04 I had before. I use a Cambridge Audio DacMagic and lossless audio files from my computer. The only things (which I could get here in Singapore from a store) that sounded like they could be better than the Audio Engine 5's needed more space than I could make on my desk. I guess you can get better things from all that you can order online in the US.

I have never seen him perform, unfortunately. I have (have had most since they were released) all of his recordings on Smalls. I enjoy them all, they are well worth your time and money. I am sorry I cannot be of help regarding which one you might want to pick first. If I were to listen to them all back to back this weekend I might have some kind of ranking, I guess, but I know I like them all.

Yes, I have been using them for over 10 years. Hundreds of transactions with very few/no problems. I have been and am happy to keep using them. It was easier/faster for me to navigate before their recent upgrade to bells & whistles but still good enough.
