  3. That's a nice one - I've got it with a different cover. A little while ago: Ornette Coleman - Who's Crazy (Affinity) Yes, that Glenn album is a really fine one. With Hank Jones on piano as well. Has this ever been reissued in any format?

  16. Is this quite obscure, and how is it?
  17. I think you'd like The Other Side of the Sun, or at least the version of "Space is the Place" from that album. It originally came out on Sweet Earth, if I remember correctly, but I've got a CD reissue from Universe. No idea how easy or difficult it would be to get these days. Astro Black should be checked out as well. Groovy stuff.
  18. Rahsaan Roland Kirk - Bright Moments (Atlantic)
  19. Sonny Red - Out Of The Blue (Blue Note Reissue)
  20. Quite a few, in my opinion. Here are six, off the top of my head: 1. Discipline 27 II 2. The Soul Vibrations of Man 3. Astro Black 4. The Antique Blacks 5. Voice of the Eternal Tomorrow 6. The Sound Mirror These are all very solid Ra albums in my opinion. (Some Ra records can be aimless unless you're a hardcore fan.) Atavistic was on schedule to reissue Continuation, but it never materialized. Anyone know what happened? Between the Unheard Music Series and Art Yard, Ra reissues are still trickling out. Of the six titles listed above, I consider Discipline 27 II a true Sun Ra classic. This one is trance-like at times. I go with this list, and would add "Universe In Blue", "Unity", and "My Brother The Wind, Vol.1". The latter has seen a vinyl reissue a couple of years back. "The Antique Blacks" was released by Art Yard on CD and LP last year: http://www.flyglobalmusic.com/fly/archives/europe_reviews/sun_ra_the_antique_black.html http://lightintheattic.net/releases/459-the-antique-blacks http://boomkat.com/cds/245287-sun-ra-the-antique-blacks 'The Ridiculous "I" and The Cosmos Me' must be one of the better song titles ever.
  21. Dorothy Ashby - The Rubaiyat of Dorothy Ashby
  22. Roland Kirk - Rip, Rig & Panic
  23. "West Side Soul" has newly been reissued in an updated edition by Delmark: http://www.delmark.com/delmark.615.htm This is a record that is worth every penny and more. Now you can also get the t-shirts: http://jazzmart.com/product/delshirts.htm
  24. I have had some of the same problems in later years, and had to cut out food containing chemicals and high sugar content, as well as being very strict on what kind of soaps, shampoos I use. Before that I had regular rashes that were very dry and itching, and I had to use hydrocortizon cream regularily. Going over to organic or slow food, and reducing intake of processed food was the way to go for me. Taking natural fats like olive oil, cod liver oil and GLA was also helpful. I have found the Jason Aloe Vera products to be helpful for me as they are mild and don't contain all the chemicals that is in everything nowadays. Cutting out fabric softener for clothes and linen was also important.
