    Hobart Dotson

I love Hobart Dotson's playing and arranging on Sun Ra's "Jazz In Silhouette" album, and would like to hear more of his music. I stumbled over this article with a quite obscure LP at Verro records. Anyone heard this? http://sunraarkive.blogspot.com/2008/06/verro-jazz-originals.html Julian Priester is on that album too. The Hobart Dotson discography: http://www.jazzdiscography.com/Artists/Dotson/hd-disc.htm
  21. Great Pee Wee is always a joy to hear! Should try to find this one.
  22. That's a great article on a favourite trombonist, thanks! Love his stuff with Sun Ra. A more surprising contribution by Priester is on this album by Sunn O))) http://www.sfweekly.com/2009-08-05/music/sunn-o-slowly-inverts-expectations/
  23. "Think Well Of Me" and "Mis'ry & the Blues" are some of my absolute favourite Jack Teagarden sessions.
