  1. Glen Campbell is part of the problem with this place.
  2. I hear ya. For those that don't know, I am originally from NY. That part of the country makes the most sense with regards to being close to family. I've got family in Jersey, Essex Fells, Cherry Hill...., as well as NY, Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Glen Cove LI, and East Meadow. Oh shit, I forgot Dutchess County, but I'm not going up there. B-) Philly puts me closest to all of that without actually being in it. Although, I'm not ruling anything out right now, going back to NY may be a stretch. With property in AZ being what it is, I've gotten used to a certain amount of space.
  3. Jeff, I'm sorry I won't be around, should you decide AZ is for you. Housing costs going up some due to private investors grabbing and turning for a profit as fast as homes are being built. Nothing like Cali, though. I'd give you a job. You must have a clean drving record, also being bi-lingual is a plus.
  4. I'm not goin' until June/July. If all goes right, I'm gonna do a little cross country tour and hit some organissimo hot spots. I'll be giving updates along the way.
  5. Could you imagine me a clem in the same car? B-)
  6. Michigan is not completely ruled out, but I need a guy like Chuck to give the complete skinny on a place like Ann Arbor. The sprawl in New York and Jersey is nothing like here. The city of Phoenix did not develop first. The downtown is a joke.
  7. Oh I see, you wait until you find out I'm leaving. Seriously, It depends on what your looking for. Housing costs are still reasonable and the job market is good. Plenty of future growth projected. If you don't mind everthing being spread so far out it may be worth looking into.
  8. Yeah. I paid Providence a visit in November. Dmitry gave me a twenty cent tour in his Dodge truck. B-) The nexy day I checked out Federal Hill. The city does have a nice feel to it.
  9. Dude, I'm burned out. The urban sprawl here is a killer. This may sound silly, but I'm tired of the sun as well, more specifically, the terrible summer heat. It depresses me. I need the seasons, all four of them.
  10. That's right! As I've shared with some of you, I am going to be moving from Arizona to somewhere in the east. The problem is, I don't know exactly where. My short list includes... PA (Philadelphia preferred) Ohio (Cleveland area only) Connecticut Providence New Jersey New York Or, surrounding areas. Philly is in the lead at the moment, this is probably a direct result of Peter Johnson doing such a solid sales presentation. I also have a possible business opportunity there. B-) Although, truth be known, I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. At this point, it looks like I'm going to keep a precentage of my business in AZ until it sells in the next couple of years, but I may try and start up something new. Any suggestions or assistance on areas/neighborhoods would be greatly appreciated.
  11. I'm in. I can assist with distribution if needed.
  12. Not sure if this one was posted already or not.... At the end of the tax year the Tax Office sent an inspector to audit the books of a synagogue. While he was checking the books he turned to the Rabbi and said, "I notice you buy a lot of candles. What do you do with the candle drippings?" "Good question," noted the Rabbi. "We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now and then they send us a free box of candles." "Oh," replied the auditor, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer. But on he went, in his obnoxious way "What about all these matzo purchases? What do you do with the crumbs?" "Ah, yes," replied the Rabbi, realizing that the inspector was trying to trap him with an unanswerable question. "We collect them and send them back to the manufacturers, and every now and then they send a free box of matzo balls." "I see," replied the auditor, thinking hard about how he could fluster the know-it-all Rabbi. "Well, Rabbi," he went on, "what do you do with all the leftover foreskins from the circumcisions you perform?" "Here, too, we do not waste," answered the Rabbi. "What we do is save up all the foreskins and send them to the Tax Office, and about once a year they send us a complete Dick."
  13. I hear you. But, the gun laws back in the 70's were much more relaxed than today. The difference is that the common person had much more respect for human life. Today shit is glorified on TV, in movies, conversation, music, kids buy into it much easier. Some obviously have a problem seperating right from wrong. Who gets the blame? There was a time when even the most hard core criminals never dreamed of killing a cop or a judge, today fuckheads busted for shoplifting don't give it a second thought. It's not only about guns. This kid had a major malfunction that nobody realized or took seriously. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for keeping the guns out of the hands of criminals and lunatics. However, in this case we are talking about a cops grandson. The grandfather would have had the guns no matter what laws they passed for you and me. It's really not change for the better. Stop this fucking world, I want to get off.
  14. Hey, you wouldn't want to curtail their 2nd amendment rights, would you? That would be un-American! Tougher gun control or not it probably would not have made one bit of difference if the kid used guns owned by his policeman grandfather.
  15. Yeah, pretty bizarre... ironic, too, in that the swastika was originally a Native American symbol--correct? The Native Americans were one of several cultures that used the symbol. I remember a friend of mine that was Navajo had some old art work with the swastika emblem on it.
  16. I didn't get one either.
  17. A Hitler admiring Native American???? WTF?, is right. No obvious warning signs that this kid was a mental case. What a sad situation.
  18. Yep. It's time to get serious again, I need to place another order. Best bet is going straight to the Fanatsy site.
  19. I was gonna say John Lewis because I know they did a recording together, but I can't find that they played Ko Ko. Mike, you may be onto something with Tommy Flanagan. What say you, ubu?
  20. haha You're killin' me. So I guessed right on Hank Jones, hmmm......, let me give another listen here and see if I can get the second guy.
  21. They've got real water there in Palm Beach, Floida.
  22. You're right. It's sarcasm all the way.
