It hit 96(F) here yesterday! Today it was about 85.

All the talk of tilapia on the lime vs. lemon thread makes me wish I had picked some up. Very simple tonight. Tomato basil soup with grilled cheese.

Love the stuff. Best tilapia I ever had was at a place in San Diego and I can't remember the name. If you ever want to try grilling it, I found this method/recipe to be a rather good one. Courtesy of the Food Network. Season with a pinch of salt, paprika, cayenne, cumin, and a little pepper. Coat with olive oil and grill 3-4 minutes each side. I squeeze LEMON on it before serving. B-)

I never though I'd live to see the day lime would become more popular than lemon.

If I had to choose one, it would be lemon. I don't like lime in my beer, Mexican or otherwise, but I do like lemon in iced tea, squeezed on fish, veal, and of course when making LEMONade! Now, when it comes to a cocktail, like a Vodka or Gin and tonic, no question, for me,lime is king. But, a lemon can and does work as a substitute.

Peter, as you know I've got to be in your neck of the woods on Friday, so we were planning this for Thursday. I'm fine with doing lunch or dinner. I figured I leave it up to the working stiffs.

Oh sure. If he's so "smart" why couldn't he have warned us about Che? haha He probably did, and Jeff wasn't taking his advice. I'm sure I'll miss the quality of the Mexican grub I've grown fond of, but no way in hell will I miss the desert heat and those fuckin' creepy ass rattle snakes.

My mind has already moved. Wes is a lost cause. He's posting pics of him and his buddies sportin' M-16s in the desert. It will be months, maybe years before he gets sick of this place.
