  1. Exactly like this picture dude. I think by time I was 18 all the hub caps were gone. The car was actually pretty sweet at first, it had a zillion miles on it but looked good. The problem was the damn 400ci motor, plenty of power, but it was a nightmare. I think we rebuilt it three times before it took the final shit right after high school.
  2. My first car at 16 was a 1975 Ford LTD, kind of like the picture except it was brown with a white top. I was stylin', until I got in an accident on the way back to a party after taking some chicks home.
  3. They should really teach her a lesson and give her one of those crappy Martha Stewart pillows being peddled at K-Mart to lay her head on while in jail. Damn things go flat after a month or two of use.
  4. I'm not exactly sure, I was trying to gauge more by the amount of hair he had earlier on. B)
  5. Jimmy Giuffre?
  6. Who's counting?
  7. Yeah I know it doesn't look much like him.
  8. What strikes me as funny in the article was when she looked on the Cadillac website to see what the cost was and thought to herself....,"that's a lot of babysitting". It does not sound as if dad is short of cash or anything, so I doubt little sister has had to do much for spending money.
  9. It would not surprise me if she does a couple of years, but I still think it will be more of a minimum security facility. I had not heard the cake story before, sounds like she took a page out of the Leona Helmsley employer/employee handbook.
  10. Jimmy Dorsey?
  11. The Boogaloo sisters have arrived. B)
  12. I don't have it, but I think I might have to get it.
  13. Should you see the movie?
  14. No, he passed away in 1996. This is a pic of his beautiful daughter. I saw Ellington's band with my father under the direction of Mercer in the 70's when I was just a kid and too young to appreciate it.
  15. That sounds about right, but if I did manage to grab some I would hope that I didn't pick anything I already had.
  16. Love that Judas Priest, I sold a car to Rob Halford back in 1990. I've gone through similar relapses, I put the stuff on for an hour or so, and I'm good for 6 months. With jazz on the other hand, I can listen forever and keep wanting more.
  17. I think so. My father had a pretty good collection going. On the weekends he would throw on the good stuff, Duke, Basie, Louie, Dizzy, Erroll Garner, I can't say I was hooked but I developed an appreciation at an early age and even had some favorites. As I got older I went through all the listening phases, r&b, pop, and rock, then it just hit me one day when I was in a record store, they had some Ellington playing on the store system, at that moment I would say I was hooked. I still enjoy some other music styles, but now jazz is the thing for me.
  18. It's going to be scary. B)
  19. Jim, do you expect couw to be able to hold off until the 15th?
  20. For sure. Always enjoy Kenny, love that unique tone. I second the welcome, I hope you stick around and enlighten us even more.
  21. No, not that they did it, but tvland has been showing the shit latter episodes with no Barney, and when Opie is turning into Richie Cunningham.
