  1. I have this as part of the BYG reissue series of Blythe's Columbia releases: this one has four albums on two cds, and sounds good.
  2. Arthur Blythe "In the Tradition" What a band! Blythe, Cowell, Hopkins, McCall
  3. And this one again. Before it was a headohone listen and I have it via the main system now. Keith Jarrett "Tokyo '96" ECM cd.
  4. Back to this one. It's fun to hear the Ed Motta influence. And it freaks me out how the bass guitar that is recorded by itself at the beginning of track 3 is so realistically presented in the room. Guida de Palma & Jazzinho "Atlas" produced by Ed Motta.
  5. Candice Hoyes "On a Turquoise Cloud" I like this one. Has a real Ellingtonian feel.
  6. Guida de Palma & Jazzinho "Atlas" produced by Ed Motta.
  7. Sneaking in a listen. . . . Sahib Shihab "Sahib's Jazz Party" Japan cd This is a great disc!
  8. Re-reading, probably for the second time, Philip K. Dick, "Eye in the Sky" from 1959.
  9. John Coltrane "My Favorite Things--Graz 1962"
  10. Miles Davis "Milestones" from the Complete Columbia Albums box set. Sounds great. Think I prefer the mono version, have heard it far more often.
  11. It was out on cd before, been oop some time. https://www.discogs.com/Woody-Shaw-Bemsha-Swing/release/4634162
  12. Jose James & Jef Neve "For All We Know" Impulse cd
  13. Billie Holiday "Vol. 5, 1937-1938" Masters of Jazz, France cd
  14. Dexter Gordon "Clubhouse" EMI Japan cd. Dexter Gordon – tenor saxophone Freddie Hubbard – trumpet Barry Harris – piano Bob Cranshaw – bass (all tracks but 3) Ben Tucker – bass (track 3) Billy Higgins – drums
  15. Not only because I haven't listened in a bit to this favorite, but also because I have a new tube complement to evaluate with this very familiar music. This time I'm listening to the UHQCD from Japan, a reissue of the CTI version from King with RVG remastering. I love the sound of this disc.
  16. Ike Quebec "Bossa Nova Soul Samba" Blue Note Japan 24 Bit by RVG Lp facsimile cd. I love this session and I really like the sound of this edition.
  17. Gabriel Grossi Quintet "#Motion Live" Whirlwind cd Really nice sound. I'm not usually a harmonica guy, but this is a good one.
  18. "Fly" is trending today so I chose to start with this. McCoy Tyner "Fly with the Wind"
  19. Jackie & Roy "Forever" Music Masters cd.
  20. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra "The Music of Wayne Shorter" (with Wayne Shorter as soloist). Disc 2
  21. "Bill Evans in England" Resonance Records 2 cd set, disc 1 Erratic stereo image, "okay" sound, but man, Evans sounds really good, and I always like Evans with Gomez
