  1. And you get to see Bill's band-aid...
  2. I thought he might be referring to this one: What the hell are you guys talking about? Label? Catalog number? The orange one pictured above is great, flat 200 gm vinyl from Classic Records. I think I got mine for around $45. It sounds fantastic, even with a 29 minute Side 1.
  3. Happy Birthday!
  4. Cecil Taylor - Conquistador - French Pathe Marconi pressing. Very nice and totally quiet vinyl.
  5. King Crimson - In The Court of the Crimson King - UK 70's pressing. "I Talk To The Wind" is soooo beautiful...
  6. My place is gonna look like that soon if I don't stop buying records!
  7. King Crimson - In The Wake of Poseidon A first-time listen for me.
  8. Happy Belated Birthday, GoM!
  9. Sorry for being late, but Happy Birthday Dmitry! Enjoy the toy.
  10. Belated Birthday wishes to Brandon. I've been checking in less as well...
  11. Ah, geez... RIP Steve.
  12. Hey, I just got an email from themusic.com . They're having this item on sale for $50. themusic.com is the retail branch of Classic Records.
  13. I use this one, also found on that acoustic sounds page. Here's the direct link: http://store.acousticsounds.com/browse_det...ction=equipment You lower your stylus into the element, and all the gunk and fuzz stays in the element. You then lift it out and it's super-clean! Love mine... The lid/cover is also a magnifying lens, allowing you to see your stylus clean and all the gunk stuck in the element. Can be washed and re-used indefinitely. But that price is too much. I got mine for $30 from some guy at audiogon. Perhaps elsewhere as well...
  14. Now playing softly on the turntable: Surrealistic Pillow - Jefferson Airplane The Sundazed MONO reissue. Nice n dry compared to the reverbed-drenched stereo version.
  15. Best wishes to Jim on his birthday.
  16. "Yes, Mr. Connery! The sound a doggy makes"? "Moo." "That's not the sound a doggy makes..." "That's the sound your mother made last night...HAA, HAA, HAAAAA!"
  17. Jimmy Smith - Groovin' at Small V.2 - Liberty Mono. The edge of the record has ridges, like on a dime. I think I have another Blue Note like this...
  18. Donald Byrd - Fuego - Dark blue label
  19. I just picked up an Lp of Air Time. VG+/NM for $6.
  20. Brownie, I think the layout is a direct homage to the classic BN look...you?
  21. How is that record, Claude?
  22. Also played Side 2 of Booker Ervin's "The Trance." Now playing: John Coltrane - More Lasting Than Bronze - mid 70s Prestige twofer of Lush Life & Coltrane. Sweeeeet.
  23. Long Tall Dexter on Doing Allright - Dark Blue label from 70's- no RVG, no vangelder...not shit. Sounds great though! Nice n' warm.
  24. No ! This one was issued originally without ear (later that its cat. number indicate !) I believe so. Sweet. Thanks guys. Just finished: Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child - 4 Lp boxed set by Classic Records on 140 gram red vinyl. 2 Lps studio; 2 Lps live. Now spinnin' John Coltrane - Crescent - Abc/Impulse - Stereo - courtesy of slide/advantage/redoux
