    Herbie Hancock

I have 'The Complete Blue Note Sixties sessions' (6 CDs) and this is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Great sound, superb music, well written booklet with some nice photos. A must have for me!
  2. If you like this cover as much as I do, this is an interesting link for you : www.habitat.co.uk Then click on 'Art on demand' and then in the 'off the shelf' section click on 'Block Mounts'. They sell this cover framed as well as two other blue Note covers: True Blue and Sonny Clark Trio.Sorry I tried to set up the link but it did not work.
  3. Yes. 'Every little wear helps'
  4. They should try to sell the second hand set on ebay. I am sure they will find a buyer.
  5. Thank you. I was looking for it yesterday and I couldn't find it. No wonder!!! I nearly ordered it from Amazon Germany. Yet, it is more expensive than ordering it from Mosaic and it is not numbered. I will wait a bit longer then!
  6. The Sonny Stitt set (shows little wear) has just sold for $161 + shipping cost to Europe! Price at Mosaic for a NEW one: $144 + shipping cost. Some people are just crazyyyyyyyyy!!!
  7. I am thinking of buying my first Mosaic Select. Are the sets, boxes, inserts of the same size as the MDs. Sorry this has nothing to do with this thread but I did not want to create a new one for that!
  8. Just sent PM about Woody Shaw.
  9. The set I received yesterady is one of 10 000. Yet, I do not understand why the European sets are not numbered. What prevented them from doing so? If only 10 000 sets were printed why could they not all be numbered?
  10. I received the Tal Farlow set yesterday (European version) and I have listened to three CDs so far. It is really impressive stuff. The sound is great too. Highly recommended set!! B-)
  11. I am based in the UK and I have sold many items to American buyers. Everything has always been fine for me and for ....them! I have never heard of any specific problems either. PS: I think I know which item you are interested in.
  12. Errr... I wouldn't be too sure of that, it's still American music... ah, but he can have the box wrapped up by one of the cute girls who work at FNAC or Virgin Yep! and it is better than listening to Chirac talking rubbish. £62 for the Farlow set.It is the same price as on the Mosaic website. Thanks to all of you for info. Can't wait listening to this set. It seems to be very good stuff.
  13. Thanks for the info. That is good enough for me. I think Mosaic are charging far too much for international postage. My next Mosaic will be European!! Jacques Chirac is going to be proud of me
  14. Do you know if the Mosaic sets distributed in Europe are different from those distributed by Mosaic themselves? If they are, what are the differences? Are they numbered? Are the boxes, the booklets and the photos the same. I am thinking of buying the Tal Farlow set as Mosaic charge huge shipping costs for Europe. Thanks for your help!
  15. French and German teacher in the UK. Interesting thread!
  16. Freddie Hubbard: 'The Night of the Cookers' 1 and 2. I only like the colours of the sleeves!
  17. Any feedback on 'Profile' and 'Tender feelings' (both JRVGs, I think)? Can anybody help? 'The Right Touch' is an amazing album

  21. Just sent you PM about Lee Morgan JRVGs.
  22. I bought the Kenny Dorham and Tina Brooks about three months ago for £18 each! I don't think I will get the Sonny Clark, even for £9.They really look great in the lounge. There are 12 greeting cards altogether: The ones you have mentioned + Curtis Fuller (Vol.3), Sonny Rollins (Vol.1), Kenny Burrell (Midnight Blue), Grant Green (Idle Moments), Sonny Clark (Cool Struttin'), John Coltrane (Blue Train) and Dexter Gordon (A swinging affair). Very nice stuff!
