Never been but will give it a shot next time I’m in the vicinity. Exeter used to have a great jazz LP outlet on Gandy St, the road which JK Rowling modelled that congested cobbled Harry Potter shop street on (reputedly). I kid you not but under the racks of West Coast jazz there was a pristine section of the old Roman Road into Exeter which priveledged punters like me could view on request ! I visit a couple of times a year and there's usually something tempting. Owner's pleasant and helpful too. I know Gandy St. but only without a record emporium, presumably the Roman road remains though Quote
sidewinder Posted March 1, 2019 Report Posted March 1, 2019 Great, I’ll check it out - I know Fore Street. The shop is no longer there, last time I went past it was a fashion emporium. For sure the road will be still in situ but I’ll bet that access for viewings now curtailed. Quote

From the cover pics it must be around the late 70´s . I have some of that period on the Timeless label. its live in '72 with bill hardman and dave schnizer Quote

Sound is generally cleaner compared to the rather dull sound of the Evidence CD I have of Vol 1. There is some distortion evident on louder parts of Alter Destiny ( end of side 1) which I don’t hear on the Evidence CD. This may be because NoNoise buried that detail and others on the CD! Pressing quality as with other Cosmic Myth releases is very good- generally very quiet and excellent dynamics. yyy, i like it too Quote

sidewinder Posted March 2, 2019 Report Posted March 2, 2019 Yes, the ‘Eloquent’ LP is a dutch reissue of ‘From Vienna’ released in 1978. Purchased by me, I recall, as a Mole deletion. Quote
