Bet the link's dead now, shame. Another obscurity awaiting reissue

I hope so. I have seen it a few times on Instagram so there's hope, even if it is just a download-only Bandcamp thing.

It sounds quite a lot like 70s spiritual jazz, so if you like Strata East / Black Jazz, etc., you might enjoy it. Worth tracking down.

Not another "spiritual jazz" grail. Like so many others I bet it's hardly got a hint of the spiritual to it. Just marketing these days.

Too much Coltrane influence to my taste….

That it is, but Sinatra was not in his best voice. It's a bit of a disappointment for me because of that.

I hear you, but this isn't the kind of album I put on to hear stellar singing.  I have about 30 other Sinatra albums I can do that with.

The first and for me best new line-up release feat guitar and electric bass (Chuck Rainey !!) .... nevertheless the magic of the "Jazz Crusaders" era (f.i like Buster Williams could play funky grooves on acoustic bass) is somehow gone ....

They definitely evolved into something different.

It's hard for me to hear this music objectively because I grew up listening to The Crusaders (Mk II) as a kid.  My dad had several of their albums and played them often.  OTOH, I only discovered the Jazz Crusaders in adulthood.

Early seeds bare lasting fruits ....

One of my favorite Crusaders LPs:

Live in concert.  Not at all a studio artifact.

What is that a picture of? Never could figure that out.
