Didn't remember that was a Barnaby. Old age I guess. <_<

Back cover says Barnaby Candid Jazz - Nationally distributed by Janus Records.

What's that old song - "You've Forgot More than We'll Ever Know" :D

Willy and the Poor Boys by CCR. It actually belongs to my dad, who bought it while mom was still pregnant with me! I'm proud to say I've loved listening to this record since the day I was born; however, I'm also ashamed of the abuse I gave it during my toddler years when I thought that anything that spun was a toy.

Ah well, the crackles and pops bring back tons of happy childhood memories. Can't ask for much more than that!

Plus, I love watching that blue Fantasy label spin around. Which is why I am now listening to my mid-60's pressing of Cal Tjader's LATIN CONCERT.

Some records are fun just to watch the label spin!

Clarke Boland Sextett 'Music For The Small Hours' (Rearward/Schema 180g reissue). Wow ! :excited: Great sound on this pressing, even by Rearward standards.

Next up: Valdambrini/Piana Quintet 'Afrodite' (Rearward/Schema)

Think I got $1500 for my original to finance (in part) the Art Ensemble box.

Guess they were paying for rarity. The Cecil cut is wonderful, but nothing else on there comes close to that.

Glad you got the $, though. You, the Art Ensemble, and all us us who bought the box benefited.

Melis, Marcello New Village On The Left (Black Saint)

That one's an overlooked gem - at least imo.

Oh I agree. I really like the vocals. They remind me of Tuvan throat singers.

Sahib Shihab 'Companionship' (Rearward/Schema 180g 2LP reissue). Better at this price than the ridiculous £500+ for an original ! ;)

My CD reissue from Dusty Grove is apparently lost in the mail

Now playing :

Rolf Kuhn "Be my Guest" on Panorama PLP 2008 DG (another hidden treasure from Rolf Kuhn)

before that : Cannonball Adderley "Sophisticated Swing" on Emarcy 36110 DG Drummer Label

Those stupid fetichist collectors ! Anyway, "when talking about money, everyone has the same religion", Voltaire said.
