Tina Brooks - True Blue (Blue Note/Music Matters). New 33 rpm release. Beautiful sonics for one of my favorite Blue Note recordings. Unfortunately, there's a bit of dish warp on Side 1. My clamp minimizes it on Side 2 but it's still a bummer considering the price.

You should return it for a replacement. At fifty bucks a pop, Music Matters shouldn't sell warped records.

$35 but you're right, it shouldn't be there. But the warp is slight and the return postage would be a bit much.

I recall a review in Cadence where the reviewer was freaked out by Doyle's singing and playing; well, here's some of it. I'd like more. Couldn't find a pic to insert (Discogs won't allow a link) so this will do. I'm not sure there was a pic; the copy I have only has a photostat of Doyle reclining pleasantly on his side, may have been added. The sleeve only has a typed list of the songs on each side.

The bonus is an aggrieved letter to Mats from R. Crumb detailing his extreme negative reaction to this music. Hence the title...
