JSngry
Ice cream, but only if it's disgustingly unhealthy and delicious, which means full of butterfat, real sugar, and all that good stuff. Otherwise, I'm getting to the point where the frozen yougurt makes more sense. Frozen custard, anybody?
Harold_Z
There's a place near where I live that has a flavor they call almond joy. It's vanilla Ice cream mixed with chocolate chips, chocolate covered almonds and coconut. Zowie !

JSngry
frozen custard? I have never heard nor seen that. Can't give you the specifics of what's in it, or how it's made, but it's what is used in tradtional "soft serve" ice cream. Rich & creamy, yet very light. Check it out: http://scootersfrozencustard.com/news.htm

patricia
My vote is overwhelmingly for real ice cream. When I think of ice cream I mean the kind that you make yourself, with an ice cream maker. The ingredients are few. They involve real cream, sugar, then whatever flavour you're in the mood for, real vanilla, real chocolate, fresh fruit etc. If it's not made that way it lacks the richness and sheer decadence of what it is. Heaven!!! If you're going to have ice cream, have real ice cream. Just don't have a huge bowl of it every day or you'll blow up like a blimp. There are some commercial brands that are made that way, but they are few and far between. If the ingredients are listed on the label, read them. If you can't pronounce most of them, you'd be better off just going to the Dairy Queen. Theirs is actually ice milk and not ice cream and is quite good. WD45
I stand by my vote. There is just something about the flavor and texture of soft serve frozen yogurt that I can't get enough of. Vanilla, especially. That, and the somewhat chemical taste of Diet Coke.
