Soulstation1 Posted August 16, 2005 Author Report Posted August 16, 2005 i dig those head lights .... Quote
tonym Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 (edited) I'm glad there is a Mustang that once again shouts, 'muscle' loud and proud. It has, like the old Plymouth Roadrunners and Chevy Chevelles that jacked up at the rear, imposing stance that a real musce car should have. They are hellish value for money too. What is it, something like £30 grand for a big GT-like cruiser. This appeared for sale at £23000 with only a few miles on. Edited August 16, 2005 by tonym Quote
Eric Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 Yeah, I am not much of a "car person", but these have REALLY caught my eye. Quote
BERIGAN Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 Nonsense, we should all drool over the sexy Ford Focus instead! Quote
Man with the Golden Arm Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 the 18 yr old neighbor girl got one of these in cobra blue w/ silver wide stripes for a high school graduation gift. she earned a free ride to any state school she desired so dad gave her this ride for free. sweet! but it goes up the street a bit too fast for my parentally paranoid taste. i made her a mustang toonz disc that so far has received no commentary. cuts by lalo schifrin, serge gainsbourg and john lee hooker amongst others are probably not on the radar yet. Jazzmoose Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I'll admit it beats the hell out of those abominations from the late '70s and '80s that they had the nerve to call 'Mustangs', but still... Quote
catesta Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 A great improvement for sure. The convertible looks sweet. Quote
BERIGAN Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 ← It's amazing how popular those suckers were back in the day, they made Ford a lot of money, too bad Ford, which always prided itself on safey allowed them to be bombs just waiting to go off. You know what I see from time to time at car shows in Atlanta that still look suprisingly good? Mavericks! (At least the sporty ones) Quote

couw Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 from the liners to the Byrd album: or as Frank Zappa and the Mothers put in on their "We're Only In It For The Money" album: "When my royalty check comes in, I think I'm gonna buy a ... Mustang!" It must have been in the air around those times. Quote
