I have a tremendous fear of heights when there is any possibility of falling (I can't stand anywhere near the edge of a roof that has no rail, but I have no problem leaning against the window in my 34th floor office), and a strong fear of large insects/spiders. I'd rather be locked in a room with a tiger than a huge bug.

Ray-the scariest insect I've seen around our area is the pepsis wasp, aka tarantula hawk. Yes, they hunt tarantulas.
