rostasi
A few weeks ago a friend told me a funny story about his visit to The Smithsonian. He was walking up to enter the building and saw two men on the side of the steps talking. One of them was Dick Cavett (this was 1976). Once my friend was inside the Smithsonian, he excitedly told his friend to go back outside the building to take a look at Cavett. His friend did so and came back inside. "Did you see Dick Cavett?" "Ummm, you mean that guy who was talking to Robert Redford?"

RDK
I once ran into Nolan Ryan in Paris, at the base of the Eifel Tower.
catesta
I was ready to say Elvis. If so, I would have had to dispute it since I saw Elvis driving a BoarsHead truck earlier today in Astoria.

Big Al
Give him time: Wilburn's lawyers are still negotiating with Bertrand for producer's credits on all of Bertand's posts, past and present.
7/4
I was at the Tigers Tail in Princeton, NJ for lunch a few years ago (up the block from the Princeton Record Exchange) and I heard that voice. Phil Schaap with a small devoted crowd listening carefully to his every word.
DTMX
I was minding my own business at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, eyeballing Rembrandt's "The Night Watch" - taking it all in while the room was relatively empty. Looked over and saw that the guy standing next to me looking at the painting was John McEnroe. And he was wearing sunglasses.
