Sorry about the layout but I just copied it from an e-mail!

BTW it seems that you can now order direct from the company using Paypal. Has anyone any experience of doing this because I have had difficulty in the past with getting anyone to respond to my e-mails?

The Dizzy Reece album is nowhere to be seen in the list Head Man just posted.

Release of the reissue looks like being delayed further.

It's shown on their website as being 'unavailable due to a problem with a photograph' - whatever that means!

Futura Records

Edit: I've just read Brownie's earlier post - so everything's as clear as mud!

I have to say, I find it odd to think that a photograph could hold up the entire thing. Wouldn't it be better to issue with a different cover. I thought nearly all cover art was considered to be owned by the corporation, not a one-time license, though if Futura had asked to use an existing photo that would be different, or the photographer can say he was never paid. Strange.

Futura has been hit with a fine of more than €10,000 (more than $8,000) for reusing a photo they bought for the original issue of one of their releases. And that was for a reissue that was limited to 400 copies :o

The fine has slowed down most of Futura's planes for releases/reissues!

They are now using new cover art to replace the photos in question. It's a hitch but not terminal.
