BFrank Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 I'll be there, too. Check out some of the suggestions on this JazzCorner thread. Quote
relyles Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 I recommend checking Jazz Improv magzaine's New York Jazz Guide, which is available as a free download at the website, Jazz Improv. It has a fairly complete listing of the events at most of the NYC area venues for the entire month. Quote
kh1958 Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 This site has links to the websites of most of the clubs. http://www.bigapplejazz.com/ Roy Haynes is at Birdland that weekend, the Cedar Walton Trio at the Village Vanguard, and Mose Allison at Jazz Standard. Quote
Hardbopjazz Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 Cedar Walton will be at the Village Vanguard during this time. Quote
bertrand Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 I've changed my plans - I'm coming up instead to see Grachan at the Stone on 12/13. I'll start another thread to see if other organissimites are going. Bertrand. Quote

J Larsen Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 any live music recommendations for this weekend? I also need some vinyl stores to plan my scavenger hunt? Anyone have suggestions? Perry I don't know everything that is going on, but I'm checking out Zorn and Steve Bernstein at Tonic on the 31st, largely because I like the venue and it is a ten minute walk from my house. It should be a pretty good show. Quote
