Quincy Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 It bugs the hell out of me how the news reports say "throw it out." Why don't they say "Take the jar of poison back to the grocery store and demand your money back." Or peel off the label, mail it to the company and demand your money back. Cause you know, not everybody wants to join a class action suit. Nor does my state attorney general suing do anything for me either. For the record I'm not even effected here, I'd just like to hear one reporter say "stick it to Peter Pan." Quote

Not only did I have a jar, I ate most of it! But, I have so many stomach issues after my Gall bladder surgery, I don't know if I would even notice if I had salmonella! Quote

Yeah, I saw that in today's paper. Though again it gave a conflicted message. Near a photo of what numbers to look for it said "throw it out." At the end of the article instructions were given on how to get your money back. It's a peanut butter conspiracy I tells you! Quote
clifford_thornton Posted February 16, 2007 Report Posted February 16, 2007 I buy organic, tasteless bulk stuff at the local co-op. I am also nearly run over in the lot every time by some scumbag in a Prius. Go figure. Quote

Rooster_Ties Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 (edited) We had a jar of 2111 too -- that we first opened sometime late in the fall (and ate about 1/3rd of), then it sat unused for a few months, and again used as recently as two weeks ago. Right in the trash it just went, Yikes!! Edited February 17, 2007 by Rooster_Ties Quote

My parents had a jar that my mom had already eaten a spoonful out of, but my dad said that the local Kroger he'd purchased it at refused to give him a refund. I told him he should've asked to speak to the store manager and raised hell about it - I can't believe that would actually be store policy for something like this. Quote
