mikeweil Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Agreed - and to make things worse many tracks were faded out! Quote

Why not ask them? You never know. F Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 29, 2007 Report Posted March 29, 2007 Agreed - and to make things worse many tracks were faded out! That seems to have been Lucky's doing. When I licensed "Soul's Nite Out" from Ensayo ( I called the record Body and Soul) I inquired about the fades and asked for the "complete" masters they responded the fades were made during the session at Lucky's signal. mikeweil Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Strange - first time I hear that a musician himself wanted a fade, and during the session! Afterwards, that's another matter, but while improvising? Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 I've seen musicians signal fades to the control room on a few occasions. Quote
JSngry Posted March 30, 2007 Report Posted March 30, 2007 Re:the Groove Merchant/Cook County thing - doesn't it sound like the ep's been overdubbed & that the original was severely under/non-recorded live? Either that ot there was another concert going on out in the yard... Quote
