Jazz Kat Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 I really love Kenny Burrell. First of all, he's got the best tone in jazz guitar history. (IMO) Plus his albums were very consisted. (I can't stand some of his newer stuff) They were usually a mix of familiar tunes, and nice originals. I came across some good Burrell cuts recently. Among them they were Groovin High and Moon & Sand. However, this one stands out. Quote

Stereojack Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Kenny has always been numero uno in my book. Quote
mikeweil Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 (edited) Kenny Burrell, always soulful, always a lot of feeling. If I could choose but one jazz guitarist, it would probably be him. Edited July 7, 2007 by mikeweil Quote
Dan Gould Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 Kenny Burrell, always soulful, always a lot of feeling. If I could chose but one jazz guitarist, it would probably be him. To me, there is KB and Grant, 1A and 1B, and then everyone else - even Wes. Quote
jazzbo Posted July 7, 2007 Report Posted July 7, 2007 I like MANY jazz guitarists a lot. KB is right up there. Quote
