Van Basten II
They also have hiked the prices, it used to be 80 bucks for 5 cd sets. :bwallace2:
Unk
The Quincy Jones looks nice, but the Hamp - with Kaiser Marshall and my old friend Vernon Alley (not to mention the front-line greats - irresistible.
sidewinder
I wonder if Universal will release the Quincy Jones set in Europe. Good chance if so that it will appear on Amazon UK in a year or so time at a good price. I'll wait until then.
Edward
They also have hiked the prices, it used to be 80 bucks for 5 cd sets. :bwallace2: Mosaic increased the price of its CD sets to $17 per disc some time ago when the Jack Teagarden Roulette set was released. Correct. If I remember correctly the price of the Selects was increased to $44 at the same time.
Kevin Bresnahan
The A-Team for the Hamp set: Disc transfers: Mark Wilder and Andreas Meyer Mastered using 24-bit technology by Malcolm Addey Well, at least the Andorran pirates will have good mastering to steal from. Bluerein
It's going to be a Universal set for the EU market as well (the Quincy that is).

So will I - if I decide to buy it, that is; the audio clips (right-hand side of the page) didn't quite convince me and I wasn't exactly a fan of Jones' This Is How I Feel About Jazz and The Birth of a Band albums. Good playing but nothing special, at least not to my ears. Edited November 3, 2007 by J.A.W.
