Stereojack
Beautiful!! I don't they ever recorded this tune. Bacharach's tunes always have such nice changes.

sidewinder
Bit of a long lost episode of 'Jazz 625'? Never seen this one before - thanks for posting.
Alexander Hawkins
Great - thank you for posting! What an awesome rhythm section. I love the arrangement of the Bacharach tune as well. Edited April 6, 2008 by Red
medjuck
Wow!! Maybe the Jazz Icon people could put this out with some of the other Al and/or Zoot stuff on this page. BTW Wasn't Ginger Baker a protege of Phil Seamans? Have any of the Jazz 625 shows been released on DVD? I was present for the taping of one at the Marquis Club. Jimmy Witherspoon IIRC. Maybe Mose Allison. I saw them both that summer (1964) and may be confusing which one was being taped. Maybe both?

sidewinder
Must be the 'Marquee' in Soho. Some of the shows were recorded there, for sure.
medjuck
Yes The Marquee in Soho. Saw The Yardbirds there too. Thought they were going to be a jazz group.
