aparxa Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 thank you thom, I really enjoy the listenings and sorry if I did not contribute to the discussion. Quote
mikeweil Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 Sorry Thom, I enjoyed it a lot but couldn't find the time to write anything down. Recognized the Fuller/Houston track, but nothing else - some interesting stuff, most of it totally unknown to me. Thanks! Quote

Recognized the Fuller/Houston track, but nothing else - some interesting stuff, most of it totally unknown to me. Thanks! Thanks. I think a big part of the low participation was that I went WAY into uncharted territory. I built this from music on my laptop, and did it to get it done and going as quickly as possible. I still think it was a good test, but I can see why a lot of people wouldn't guess. But I figured I'd at least get that sort of feedback. No matter, I'm going to sign up for another, because they're fun! I was interested to hear the guesses to see the guesses, that's all. Quote
Stereojack Posted October 19, 2008 Report Posted October 19, 2008 My apologies also for not responding. I listened to it through twice and had every intention of posting my responses, but life got in the way. I also recognized track 1, but the others were all unfamiliar to me, and I have to confess that a number of them were just a little too "out" for my comfort zone. Still, Thom, you put a fair amount of work into it, and you deserved a better turnout. Quote
Bright Moments Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 thanks thom - appreciate your hard work! Quote
Big Al Posted October 20, 2008 Report Posted October 20, 2008 Still, Thom, you put a fair amount of work into it, and you deserved a better turnout. Amen to that. BFT's like this are the whole reason I enjoy this whole experience! Quote

In fact, I believe you may have been in attendance for that James Williams show. Most people went to the Thursday show, which featured one of the Eubanks, but I forget which. In the future, my BFTs will probably lean more to the inside. As I say, this was made from what was on my laptop at the moment... also, I was still reeling from Berigan's BFT, that royally kicked my ass and hurt my feelings. Quote

tkeith Posted October 30, 2008 Author Report Posted October 30, 2008 (edited) Is Dick Griffin the same as the trombone player who recorded for Strata East? Sure is. Quite an accomplished painter, too. Edited October 30, 2008 by Thom Keith Quote
