Guy Berger
this guy at work was talking about this at work. here is a link i found http://www.frii.com/~davejen/floyd.htm ss1 Back in college I did this a few times... it's cool but I don't think the coordination lasts beyond the first spin of the CD. A much cooler synchronization is between the Floyd song "Echoes" and the last section of 2001 ("Jupiter and Beyond"). I'm sure everyone who has tried this will agree that it's a major mindfuck. Here is a link describing the procedure. Be sure to use the original "Echoes" from Meddle, not the one on the recent Floyd compilation. Pretty psychedelic & much easier on the ol' brain cells. As I recall, you're supposed to cue the CD at the third roar of the MGM lion. Alexander
I've tried it. I did start the CD at the third roar of the MGM Lion...and I don't think it worked. I didn't notice anything, to be honest. I think it only works when you're high...

AfricaBrass
I did the Dark Side/Wizard of Oz thing once (and I was sober ). I agree, it was really great during the first spin of the cd. The music really did seem to sync up with the movie. I haven't tried the 2001/Echoes sync. That sounds great. I'll have to give it a shot sometime. Thanks for the info, Guy! Claude
I managed to sync Miles Davis' Quiet nights to an episode of the Golden Girls
