sidewinder Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 (edited) Woke up in a cold sweat early this morning after a terrible dream. My Mosaic collection had somehow ended up in some back-street 2nd-hand jazz record shop and by the time I had grabbed what was left off the racks there were only about 8 or 9 sets left. All the Miles sets gone, Basie, Thad/Mel etc. but somehow the Bill Evans survived. It was all so real it was untrue. Awful ! Psychiatrists make out of that what you will.. Free For All Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 somehow the Bill Evans survived. There was a Bill Evans Mosaic? Did I miss something? Quote
Aggie87 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 There's a Buy-It-Now price of $995 for one on Ebay at the moment... Quote
Free For All Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 D'oh! I forgot about that one. Quote
BeBop Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 All my CDs and LPs and books are stored in California. Everytime there's a earthquake, fire, flood... Quote
Hoppy T. Frog Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 I have good dreams about finding Mosaics (that don't exist in the real world) second-hand for a good price in a grubby record shop, like a "Complete mid-70s Evan Parker" collection. Quote
GA Russell Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 I have been told that everyone dreams every night. Sometimes you remember it, usually you don't. I almost never do. I had an unpleasant dream the night before last. I couldn't remember where I had parked my car. Not what you would call a nightmare! I'll let the professionals interpret it, and how it relates to my relationship with my mother! Quote
Stefan Wood Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) I had a dream where Mosaic was going for the big bucks -- "Complete Kenny G" and "Complete Columbia Barbara Streisand." Yikes! Edited January 24, 2009 by Stefan Wood Quote
Shawn Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 The only nightmare I ever had regarding Mosaic Sets was when I had to sell all of mine to pay rent back in 2006. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Doesn't sound like a nightmare, Shawn - sounds like the truth. MG Quote

ghost of miles Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 My only Mosaic nightmare would involve them going out of business. Quote
