Chuck Nessa
Steve Lacy / Kent Carter Catch on Horo, not that you'll find it anywhere.
Hot Ptah
Some cuts (at least one) that Chico Freeman and Cecil McBee did on India Navigation, though I'm at a loss recalling the specifics. Chico Freeman and Cecil McBee perform as a duo on "Autumn in New York", on Freeman's India Navigation album "Spirit Sensitive". It's a fine album overall, in my opinion. Д.Д.
Oh yeah, and one more: Matthew Sperry / Jack Wright : Duets 1998. Sperry was a very talented musician (played wit hToma Waits, among others), died tragically young. A few samples are available here: http://www.limitedsedition.com/matthewsperry.html
clifford_thornton
Steve Lacy / Kent Carter Catch on Horo, not that you'll find it anywhere. Yeah, that is a very scarce one. I believe they also share a duo on a Chant du Monde LP. Also: Kent Carter and Claude Bernard, on Kent Carter Solo with Claude Bernard (Sun). I believe they also share a duo on a Chant du Monde LP. I think your memory is playing tricks on you - Points on Le Chant du Monde has a quartet track, a trio track, a Lacy solo, and three-part duo ("3 Points") with Steve Potts on soprano. BeBop
On a per-item basis. this is about the most expensive set of recommendations I've seen. (...not that they aren't worth every guilder...) Not a bunch of Blue Notes, OJCs, Hats, Delmarks and such. (Nonaah is, of course, a bargain. Seriously, I broke down and ordered the CD itself.) vodka
Great recommendations. Here are mine: Daniel Carter + Reuben Radding - Luminescence (AUM Fidelity Rec. 2003), an absolute delight. Ed Schuller & Mark Goldsbury - Savignyplatz (TUTU Rec. 2000) Nice album, and, BTW, Ed is Gunther's son.
king ubu
much more of a mainstream disc, but a beautiful one: Guy Lafitte / Pierre Boussaguet - Crossings
BeBop
much more of a mainstream disc, but a beautiful one: Guy Lafitte / Pierre Boussaguet - Crossings Thanks king ubu. I enjoyed the sound clips I was able to find online. But I couldn't find a source in South Africa, the U.S. or Uganda. Anyone?
Chuck Nessa
I bought one from Amazon France a few years ago. If you enjoy Lafitte, it is worth searching out.
