AllenLowe Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) just launched the new www.allenlowe.com http://www.allenlowe.com/ the site includes sound samples of recordings I've done with Julius Hemphill, Roswell Rudd, Marc Ribot, David Murray, Loren Schoenberg, Don Byron, Doc Cheatham, Lewis Porter, and others. it still needs some work, but my developer, the wonderful Ken Feldman, has done a terrific job. it also contains some book samples. AllenLowe Posted January 31, 2011 Author Report Posted January 31, 2011 thanks - I need to work on making clear who is on what recording, though it'll be about a week or two before I get into it - there's also a sampling of the new CD blues set (Blues and the Empiricle Truth). Quote
B. Clugston Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Just checked it out. Nice site, Allen! Quote
papsrus Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Very nice, clean, easy to navigate. Sound samples are wonderful (and beefy!). ... Well done. Quote
Royal Oak Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Nice site. It was interesting to see your photo - I can't help but picture you as the psychiatrist-looking character who used to be your avatar. Quote
John L Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Nice site, Allen. I hope that it will be useful for promoting your work. Quote
Christiern Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 The best of luck with your site, Allan. I know it's going to be absorbing. Now, at least, people know that you are not a little black dog. I have known that for a very long time, but I never told anyone. Quote

ghost of miles Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 Great site, Allen. Great plug from Francis Davis, too... do you ever get introduced at parties that way? Quote
ghost of miles Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 "Southern Indiana's icebound jazz curmudgeon." I was complimenting him, not making fun of him. That's about the last thing I'd ever do in regards to Mr. Lowe, despite his appreciation for levity. Quote
