Kenny Burrell's "Freedom"

I apologize if this has been mentioned of late -- been off the scene for a bit -- but does anyone have any insight on a potential domestic reissue of this session or, for that matter, a review? Very curious, given the date and personnel...

Thanks for any illumination!

I can agree with that by a hair on some titles--but don't let them hear you say that at stevehoffman.tv or they'll grab the pitchforks and torches and come after you.

Holistically I find the SACDs give the impression of live dynamics, details and overtones that makes the XRCD sound a touch flat in comparison.

Anyhow, it's a moot point on this title. Chad just got back to me and reminded me it's a Music Matters title and won't be coming out on SACD.

I palyed my Japanese vinyl the other day. The Turrentine tracks are up to standard. The four tracks with Seldon Powell are all three minutes or less and presumably intended for release as 45s. Pleasant but nothing special.
