colinmce
Yeah, I was gonna say, the one I got was a later pressing with a beat jacket (clean vinyl, though). Your copy looks pretty crisp. And it's a splendid recording, of course.
JSngry
Hey, it was a record for sale. somebody was going to pay something for it.
Homefromtheforest
Pure comedy indeed Clifford!! The Arthur Doyle selling for over $1,000 is just insane. I sold my mint copy a few years back for around $350 which at the time was on the high side of the average...whoever bought this copy will have a hard time ever getting his money back out of that one! clifford_thornton
Yeah, I thought the high on that Doyle was $600 a few years ago, but nope... I paid $100 for an old stock copy quite a few years ago, traded it, then was given another very nice copy for free (which I kept). Great record (IMO) but not for that kind of change! Homefromtheforest
I found my mint copy for $7(!) but it was just after I bought the rank and file reissue which in my opinion was a well done and quality reissue job so I kept the reissue and flipped the original. It's a wild record but not something I play very often...
sidewinder
Not sure which is more lunatic - the prices fetched on this auction or recent prices for not-so-rare Blue Notes. Edited July 4, 2013 by sidewinder
