Hardbopjazz
This could not be the original cover for Jimmy Smith at Club " Baby Grand", vol.1. Must have been one of the 70's or 80's reissues. Any other bad re-issue covers that come to mine? Brandon Burke
This whole series is ridiculous. The Mingus above and Ornette Coleman Ornette! are--in their original form--two of my all-time favorites. Wa'happen......?

Free For All
I saw "Hardbop" and thought "could it be?" until I realized he was talking about an ORGAN recording and then I knew it definitely wasn't our old friend. Welcome to the board, Hardbopjazz!

Hardbopjazz
I remember someone selling Grant Green's "Goin' West" on eBay. It had such a horrible cover of an acoustic guitar. Man, this is a real good reason why Blue Note went under. The quality went way down. I wish I could find that picture to post. The eBay auctions was more then 2 years ago, so no way to find it there. Hardbopjazz
I've actually grown to like this one. . . . No, this isn't the cover I am talking about. This was the original cover from the 1969 release. Later they had a picture of a real guitar on it. It was done in a country western style. Real cheesy. I going to spend the rest of today searching the web for a picture of it. It's going to be a real productive day at work today. mikeweil
They want 45 EUROS for that LP on a German used LP site! Sorry, couldn't find a larger pic of that meager meal.
