CraigP
I was hoping it was the Monk stuff.
romualdo
I was hoping it was the Monk stuff. Just received the email from Pop Market It's Black Lion material remastered by Bernie Grundman They've chosen 3 artists - Dexter Gordon, Miles Davis & Johnny Griffin - each has a 3LP set (one 33rpm & 2x45 rpm LPs) - technically not MD but actually Ann Hathaway & Earl Coleman sessions It looks like the 2 45rpm LPs contain the same material as the 33 rpm LP - appears to aimed at audiophiles OTT IMHO!!! BeBop
Thanks for link fix, Mr. Nessa. I'd tried posting from my phone.
mikeweil
Strange choices - who needs these Miles sidemen dates in that form - their sound is far below the potential of a 45 rpm LP.

spinlps
These were done in 33rpm a few years back. I picked up the Griffin on clearance at a local shop. Meh. Good, but certainly not worthy of this sort of package. Wish someone would mine the Steeplechase & Black Saint catalogs instead. Alto Analogue issued a few Steeplechase titles but barely a blip on the radar.
