I was introduced to these recordings in a "music appreciation class" at the University of Iowa by Eldon Obrecht and they remain as favorites. Obrecht brought Gunther Schuller to our class and later regaled me with stories of Art Tatum on 52nd St. I owe him a lot. Quote
