He was just a priest in a small town, nothing much is known about his life and musical activities, but had two volumes of his compositions printed, the first of which is nowhere to be found. The second contains over 100 organ pieces, about a third is on this CD. Excellent music, flawlessly performed on a perfectly suitable instrument. This is on the same high level as the organ books of Couperin and Grigny. Quote
