This has some serious playing by Roy Ayers on it, too!

Yes sir! Some excellent playing for sure. :tup

This morning, I've been listening to The Individualism of Gil Evans:

What an astonishing record. Today, "The Barbara Song" made my hair stand on end.

Just reacquainting myself with this one. I can't believe that I disposed of the vinyl soon after I bought it.  Can't think why listening to it now.

Got the Fresh Sound reissue on CD today - nice surprise. This 1972 date would have fitted nicely into the Prestige catalogue of the time. The girl on the cover is Pony Poindexter's daughter Deana, who even sings a bit on twp tracks. Her dad taught her to sing along with the themes.

The two Frogs and the Hep pretty much cover the 1926-1932 period of the Bennie Moten band, with the best audio quality.

I have all three and, as you say, the sound quality (as well as the music) is very good.
