duaneiac Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 Only a couple of original members were left by the time of this 2012 concert and Jerry Lawson is particularly missed, but they "Still Ain't Got No Band". Quote

St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Got it Bad Soul band of nerdy-looking mostly white guys from Birmingham. Pretty funky IMO. Apparently they're fairly big and have even been on network TV a few times...but I never heard of them before (don't have TV). Edited February 25, 2019 by T.D. Quote

paul secor Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 John Lee Hooker recorded in 1949, just after his first commercial recordings, playing acoustic guitar at the home of animator/cartoonist Gene Deitch. Many of the tunes are older country blues along with a few spirituals, done John Lee Hooker style. Quote
