jazzbo Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 (edited) Houston Person "To Etta With Love" High Note Records cd. My wife lost her mother on Monday morning (not unexpected) and she's home being a bit sad and luckily a lot mellow and she likes this one. (A rare jazz occurance!) Now (my wife fell asleep downstairs, I'm up with the main system now) Bennie Maupin "The Jewel in the Lotus" ECM cd Edited August 19, 2020 by jazzbo Quote

I haven't yet heard him on baritone, which I believe is his primary instrument these days. Nice player. I'd like to buy the two-disc set that pairs Howling Monk with Suite Clarity. It's cool hearing the underrated Danny Grissett early in his career, too. Quote

HutchFan Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 Eddie Fisher & the Next One Hundred Years (Cadet, 1970) Not the guy who fathered Princess Leia and then scandalously left Debbie Reynolds for Liz Taylor. This is the other Eddie Fisher. Quote
mjzee Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 I just got this from Tommy. So enjoyable. Quote

Had it for a few years and this is the second or maybe 3rd time i've spun it. Now playing: This shit is fantastic and has stayed in rotation since I got it a few days ago. Quote
