Now playing - Paul Desmond - Bossa Antigua (RCA). This is from the RCA box set that I don't think I've listened to in many years. Such beautiful playing here. I should remember this when I'm looking for some nice mellow bossa sounds to soothe me after a long day... mowing the lawn.

Tom Harrell “Moving Picture” HighNote cd

There’s something addictive about Tom Harrell’s music. It took a bit for me to “get hooked” but now I have to have it in the rotation. When he got to HighNote he found a real home to center within–the production, recording and feel of these albums are top-notch and the music has a consistency of identity (but not an outright sameness) to just sink back into. This one is really nice, but they all are.

... love the improvisation, it's brilliant. I have some problems with the vocal parts.

Teri Thornton "I'll be Easy to Find" Verve cd

This is the actual released album; I also have three cdrs of rehearsal and rough mix material from the making of this release from a friend of the producer's, which are interesting to listen to.

This is my favorite of Teri's albums and I really like the playing of Dave Bargeron on trombone.

Tania Maria “Bela Vista” World Pacific cd

It’s been too long since I have spun a Tania Maria cd, and longer still since I have spun this one. I love the groove of the Stones tune on this one.

I love this woman’s musical personality.
